Einlass: 19:00 Uhr Beginn: 20:00 Uhr MRK is a groove-heavy, horn-lit progressive project inspired by the universe and its silence. Led by the drummer Gaj Bostič active between Austria and Slovenia, the band mixes heavy metal riffs, electronic sounds and jazz improvisation into a fusion of diverse musical elements. Each song is a reflection of the desire to explore boundaries and unknown territories. Mrk (“Eclipse”) refers to the moment when light and darkness engage in a cosmic dance. The presence of light is reflected in the sound of the trumpet and saxophone, their melodies illuminating the powerful rhythm section that moves in a dark setting, with the keyboards and effects adding depth and creating a contrasting atmosphere. Step into the dynamic world of MIND TREE, a trio of exceptionally talented Slovenian musicians forging a unique sound at the crossroads of jazz, classical, and alternative genres. Rooted in collaboration, Mind Tree is comprised of pianist Matic Štemberger, bassist Peter Smrdel and drummer Žiga Smrdel. In April 2023, they unveiled their debut album, 'Catharsis,' a captivating journey through original compositions that not only received local acclaim at the Jazzon competition but also secured international recognition, winning the '7 Virtual Jazz Club' award for the best original composition. On this special night, both bands are promoting their new albums - a Mrk Debut and Mind Tree their second Suite for Shattered Dreams.
