LOLA + plainhead - 8MM Bar, Berlin at 8MM on December 10, 2026.
Einlass: 19h, Beginn: 20h Tickets ab jetzt hier: https://www.tixforgigs.com/Event/77619 https://link.dice.fm/rd53afa0adec LOLA LOLA started in 2023, when “I Hope the Sky is Grey When I Wake Up” was recorded during a jam session in LA. Lola writes songs in German and English and records them in her room since she doesn’t have the money to do it in a cool studio yet. Her band rotates depending on who’s free on the day. If everyone makes it, it’s Joseph on bass, Tom on drums, Laura on violin, and Lola on guitar and vocals. But that only ever happened once. She released “Oh Berlin” in June, which will be followed by an EP later this year. plainhead plainhead is a recording project built around guitar and fragile sample loops. It moves between the lines of a solo project and a collective band project - unbound by expectations while still breathing like a band, both on recording and live. Surrounded by the DIY-scene around their own self-founded recording label *new basement,* plainhead tries to introduce an ethos uncommon to the local music landscape in their hometown Munich (DE) and interacts between the boundaries of experimental rock and pop. Started off as a distortion-heavy shoegaze project playing earnest and estranged 90s-like songs, they have shifted into a more quiet and acoustic outfit centered around the winds of the clarinet and melodica. Especially formative records were the albums of early 00s Yo La Tengo and The Notwist. Their first full length recording ‘I SPLIT MY ORGAN IN TWOS’ (2024) is 60 minutes of freak folk inspired rock music blasting from the speakers inside a teenage treehouse, at times loud and at times mellow but at all times rock. The latest album ‘You Are More Than A Thousand Words’ (2025) is less generous, rocks only at certain slight moments and falls apart again. Introducing more electronic elements and sampling, the acoustic sounds are delivered carefully by the computer, ending up in a uncontrollable and surreal constellation similar to the dark and heavy clouds in the sky. And at some times it rains. ++++++++ Subscribe to the Puschen BERLIN NEWSLETTER to receive regular email updates and participate in ticket giveaways: http://eepurl.com/dvBmBD Listen to the Puschen Hitlist: TIDAL PLAYLIST on https://tinyurl.com/tidalpuschenhitlist SPOTIFY PLAYLIST on https://sptfy.in/9l5i ++++++++
