Camilla Sparksss - the solo project of Swiss-Canadian musician and visual artist Barbara Lehnhoff - brings her explosive electro noise pop to Berlin. Known also as the co-founder of post-punk band Peter Kernel, Sparksss delivers high-energy live performances driven by heavy beats, thick synths, and razor-sharp vocals.Born in Kenora, Ontario (famously at −27°C), Lehnhoff’s music blends dark-wave, experimental electronics, and raw pop energy. Her debut album For You The Wild (2014) introduced her distinctive sound and led to tours across Europe, including shows with Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. The follow-up Brutal (2019) and its remix edition featured collaborations with artists such as Fakear and Rebeka Warrior, while in 2023 she toured Europe and the UK with A Place to Bury Strangers.Beyond the stage, Sparksss works across music, film, and theatre - collaborating with Alec Ounsworth (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah), Mike Mare (Dälek), and director Nicolas Stemann. Her 2023 audiovisual album Lullabies and the remix project by William Basinski and Gary Thomas Wright further expanded her sonic universe.In 2025, her self-directed video Watch Me won Best Swiss Music Video at the Solothurn Film Festival.
