Finally, Afro Slot Special is back at YOTO – with father-son duo OLIVER & BOAS and special guest YUNGFEELS. Father-son duo? In Hamburg, OLIVER hardly needs an introduction. Since 1991, he has been deeply dedicated to reggae and dancehall sound and, with Silly Walks, is part of one of the most renowned soundsystems in Europe. His son BOAS is now one of Hamburg’s most booked and influential Afro DJs. And as the old German saying goes: “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” So it comes as no surprise that Oliver’s son DJ Boas followed in his footsteps early on – and that the two now regularly share the stage together as a father-son duo. BOAS excites the community and dancefloors with his unique mix of Afrobeats, Amapiano and Dancehall. He stands for energy, style and musical diversity, and has already performed as a support act for international artists such as Omah Lay, TayC and NSG. Together with Oliver, he hosts the Afro Slot Nights and is also a member of the Roots Soundsystem collective. The line-up of the night is completed by special guest YUNGFEELS. Born in Hamburg and living between Bangkok and Berlin, she is a DJ, label A&R and cultural bridge-builder with Thai-German roots. With her commitment to expanding innovative culture within the contemporary club context, she charmingly connects musical traditions from different continents with sound gems from all over the world.
