Experience the Wiretapping collective's first showcase at Locke, Hamburg. Featuring live modular synth sets from Matze Sampler, Alicia Reyes, and WEDER, this event explores organic and digital soundscapes through improvisation and hardware mastery. Perfect for fans of boundary-pushing electronic music and unique live performances.
After broadcasting exclusive livesets from artists around the globe on [sic]nal radio, the wiretapping collective is inviting you to Locke for their first showcase. w/ Matze Sampler - A guitar, a looper, a drum machine, and a modular system unlike any other. Matze's playing style feels like a full-blown production – live. The track structures are created on the fly. With the help of the modular synthesizer system, the listener is taken on a journey that can sound dusty and rocky at times, spacey at others – but always electronic. Alicia Reyes - Alicia Reyes is a pianist and composer with interests in analogue electronic music, free improvisation as a compositional tool and interdisciplinary artistic research projects. Her latest musical and multimedia theatre works focus on non-anthropocentric narratives related to ecological challenges. She currently pursues a docARTES PhD at the University of Leiden and works as a researcher affiliated with the MetamusicX cluster at the Orpheus institute in Ghent (Belgium). WEDER - Amongst modular synthesizers, grooveboxes, and other sound machines is where the Hamburg-based artist WEDER feels at home. Cables are his lyrics. As a live act and DJ, he connects organic and digital soundscapes. In his energetic yet dreamy Techno and House livesets, distorted 303 riffs meet violin hooks, conga percussion meets 909 blasts. With his radio show Wiretapping on Hamburg-based platform [sic]nal, WEDER expands this universe further: he invites international modular artists, composers and sound artists to explore new forms of live performance, improvisation and sound art – turning the radio studio into a temporary laboratory for wired music. Wiretapping is a new platform for live electronic music - an exploration of diverse sonic philosophies connected by a mutual love for (modular) synthesizers. It is a space for artists pushing boundaries and for listeners ready to tune into something unrepeatable.
