Renowned for his work both as a solo artist and as an integral member of The Jam and The Style Council, Paul Weller will head to Southampton on 20 June 2026. Over the course of a career that extends back five decades, the songs of Paul Weller are woven into the tapestry of British music. His stellar body of work stands comparison with formative heroes such as John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ray Davies, with Weller’s canon taking in a total of 28 studio albums. While it’s tempting for Weller to dwell on past achievements — multiple BRIT Awards, Ivor Novellos and eight #1 albums in total — his avowed credo leads him to continue forwards, foot on the pedal and in constant motion. With The Jam, Weller achieved instant success thanks to 1977 debut single ‘In The City’, with the band’s album of the same name now regarded alongside the likes of Never Mind The Bollocks and London Calling as one of the musical lodestones of the punk era. After dissolving The Jam at the peak of their powers, Weller swiftly re-emerged alongside keyboard player Mick Talbot in The Style Council, amassing a string of hits including ‘Shout To The Top’ and ‘My Ever Changing Moods’ — which he continues to play live to this day.
