A solidarity weekender in Hamburg to support the survival of independent club culture and the currently closed PAL club. Together with tohhnzimmer, this event at BASSFACHHANDEL features two nights of underground music and community spirit to ensure the future of the local scene.

CLUB CULTURE IS NOT A GIVEN. Clubs come and go. But lately, it feels like more are going than coming. Spaces for independent club culture are becoming harder and harder to hold on to. Rising costs, bureaucratic obstacles, and an uncertain future are putting more and more pressure on the places that keep underground culture alive. And let’s not forget, clubs have always been about much more than just partying. They’re spaces where people connect, ideas grow, boundaries disappear, and communities find their place. Spaces that give a city its character. Spaces that can’t simply be replaced once they’re gone. Yet somehow, their existence is still taken for granted. Unfortunately, we’re feeling this reality firsthand. For several months now, the doors of PAL have remained closed. Not by choice. While the music has stopped, the bills haven’t. And after months of being unable to open, we’re facing some serious financial challenges. But if there’s one thing you should know about us, it’s that standing still has never really been our thing. So we’re doing what brought us all together in the first place. Music. Community. Solidarity. Together with our dear friends from tohhnzimmer, we’re coming together for a solidarity event. Not just for another night on the dancefloor, but for all the nights that are still to come. Because club culture isn’t built on four walls and a sound system. It’s built by the people who fill these spaces with life, energy, and purpose. And right now, we need those people more than ever. For the spaces we love. For the nights we remember.
