Every Eventmate chart combines three independent signals into one ranking. This page explains exactly how each signal is computed, where the data comes from, and the limits we know about.
One booking = one confirmed appearance in Ibiza for the summer 2026 season window (May 1 – October 31).
We count events with status Published (cancelled and draft events are excluded), at venues whose locality is Ibiza, where the artist appears as a host with role ARTIST. Each artist's booking count is the number of distinct events they appear in across that window.
Known limit:roughly 28% of Ibiza events for the 2026 season currently have no linked artist page (especially smaller parties and DJ residents identified only as "TBA"). We're improving this coverage every week, but if you spot an artist missing from a venue's lineup, tell us via the contact form below.
The full editorial pillar aggregates how many times each artist has been featured by Resident Advisor, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Ibiza Spotlight, Pacha Magazine, Rausgegangen, DICE and Boiler Room over a trailing 30-day window.
What you see today:the editorial pillar in v1 shows representative sample data, generated to reflect how those publications typically feature artists. The shape — counts, source mix, distribution across tiers — mirrors what the v2 pipeline will surface, so the chart layout doesn't change when real data replaces the sample.
What ships in v2:a daily aggregation pipeline that reads each source's public editorial pages, normalises the featured-artist references into a single counted dataset, and attributes every entry back to its source. We'll cite every publication that informs a ranking — never freeloading.
Sources we'll aggregate from: Resident Advisor, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Ibiza Spotlight, Pacha Magazine, Rausgegangen, DICE, and Boiler Room.
Each artist's streaming pillar is a blend of Spotify popularity (0–100) and Apple Music chart performance.
Spotify popularityis the per-artist 0–100 score returned by the Spotify API, refreshed nightly. Apple Music chart score is a composite of weighted chart positions across the DE, IT, ES and GB storefronts; we log-normalise to 0–100 before blending so a #1 in one storefront doesn't dominate.
Known limits: roughly 30% of artists on the chart have Spotify popularity data; ≈5% have Apple Music chart data. Where an artist has no streaming signal at all, the row shows no streaming datainstead of a zero — and they're never tagged with the "Booked Above Their Weight" badge (which would be spurious without a popularity rank to compare against).
For every artist in the top 50 we compute two ranks: their booking rank (by Ibiza booking count) and their popularity rank (by streaming blend). The badge fires on the gap:
The exact gap threshold is calibrated against the real top-50 distribution so the badge means something on each chart — never fires on everyone, never disappears entirely.
We count every confirmed booking (status: Published) for the May 1 – October 31 2026 season across all Ibiza venues, where the artist appears with role ARTIST. Each artist's rank is their total booking count. Streaming signals (Spotify popularity, Apple Music chart score) and editorial coverage are shown alongside but don't drive the rank in v1.
Each top-50 artist is ranked twice: once by Ibiza bookings, once by streaming reach (Spotify + Apple blended). If their booking rank is much higher than their streaming rank, they get the "Booked Above Their Weight" badge — they're more in-demand on the island than their global streaming numbers would predict. The opposite is "Streamed Above Their Bookings".
Resident Advisor, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Ibiza Spotlight, Pacha Magazine, Rausgegangen, DICE, and Boiler Room. In v1 the editorial pillar shows representative sample data clearly disclaimed on every row. The full daily aggregation pipeline ships in v2 — same table, same row shape, real scraped features.
Three possible reasons. (1) They don't have a published Ibiza booking for the season window. (2) Their events are linked to a different artist page in our database — we're closing this gap weekly. (3) They're below the top 50 cut-off. Email hello@partymate.ai with the artist name and a venue date and we'll investigate.
Weekly, every Monday at 04:30 UTC. The Monday slot is chosen so each refresh captures the previous week's full booking activity including the heavy weekend nights. The previous snapshot stays live until the new one writes, so the page is never empty.
Never. There are no public votes, no paid placements, and no sponsored slots on any Eventmate chart. The full source data is shown per row so anyone can verify the ranking against our event database.
